Bourbon Hard Sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature (115g)
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar (125g)
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp (135ml) Bourbon, Cognac, or Armagnac
  • a pinch of salt
